From the comments: How crisis is the best indicator of character

Jun 6, 2014 /

Community member Sandy Weiner wrote this in response to Joshua Prager’s TED Talk, In search of the man who broke my neck:

“This talk resonated for me on so many levels. Courage, self-reflection, not accepting the status quo, not resigning to a life as a victim, and the ability for Joshua to move on to achieve great things in spite of the terrible accident that left him a quadriplegic. But what truly touched me was this: ‘It’s not what happens to us but how we choose to respond to what happens to us’ that matters. Crisis is the best indicator of character. Joshua’s character is evidence of a refined man who rose above what was.”
