Kuwait City-based community member Ghina Zand Alhadid wrote this thoughtful note in response to Gabe Barcia-Colombo’s TED Talk, My DNA vending machine:
“As innovative as this idea seems, it could also be risky. I am fascinated with bio-art but I would not sell my DNA to strangers. It can be either totally useless or totally dangerous.
Another idea would be to supply these vending machines with DNA extraction kits!”
